September gems

Despite the nights drawing in and the temperatures falling  September still has it's joys.....

The naturalistic garden at Knoll Gardens in Dorset is looking at it's best.

Walks in the evening allow us to watch the sun set......

and the moon  rise over the sea.....

while watching and listening to the geese as they fly over head to find their evening meal.

Our favourite September joy  however has to be our daughter who turns twenty one today.

Happy Birthday Hay!

  4. You have captured the scene beautifully here and happy birthday to your daughter too.
Thank you for 'code tip' - I have had that in place for nearly two years but there are money making sites that remove it and use the photographs as their own sadly. Still it is not raining today!

I love Knoll Gardens, many of the grasses that I've grown over the years have come from there.

  11. SARAH! What a sweet photo of your daughter!! And 21? Really, where does the time go my dear? But when Septembers are this lovely, we have the chance to grasp the days and hold them close and never let go of the memories. I agree that even here, in my garden, the flowers have a different beauty to them this month; they are showing their BEST and most mature side. They had all summer to grow, now they are at their crowning glory.

Enjoy each walk on the beach. Anita

  14. That's a very handsome garden and the photo of the moon over the sea is peaceful.

I'll bet your daughter loves having that photo on the blog! Hope you all have a lovely day. On my 21st (almost too long ago to remember) my ma cooked me a big chocolate cake and my boyfriend at I and some friends went to Avebury and sat by the stones eating it and drinking champagne out of chipped mugs. Perfect :-)
