Following the footsteps in the sand

How would you like to follow the footsteps or paw marks in the sand?

Just make sure that you have bought your wellington boots with you!

Otherwise you might end up with wet feet. Some of the waves are quite strong ....

  Watch out!

Maybe we should take the coast path on the return journey and admire the waves from a distance.

We might also spot a peregrine falcon if we are lucky!

Tavi's first visit to the beach was more tame. He wasn't too sure of the waves and thought the pebbles were safer and much more interesting!

Being on solid ground with a good look out is much better!

The strange items just in reach are much more fun to play with than toys!

 In a more serious moment....

Wishing you a happy week!
Sarah x

    1. There isn't any fossils in the rock of golden Bridport Sands. Fossils are however, found in Charmouth and Lyme Regis further along the coast. Sarah x

  18. Oh Tavi is just too too cute!!! So funny that he wasn't keen on the sea, perhaps he will show more interest as he gets older. Do you know if that is the beach that was used in the Broadchurch TV series? It looks familiar, but then one beach can look like another! xx

    1. Yes this is the beach shown on Broadchurch TV series. You might also see the beach that Tavi was on, in the next series, as we saw them filming there! Sarah

  23. It must be wonderful to live so close to the sea! That picture of the peregrine falcon is wonderful. All the pictures are! That's such a "Westie stance" Tavi has in the photo of him standing up with two paws on the edge of the wood. :-)

  24. Oh my goodness....how cute is Tavi! :) Fabulous pictures of your coastal walk too!

  25. What a beautiful place to walk, quite breathtaking. I always love to see the sea in winter. And how wonderful to have seen a peregrine, my eldest will be green with envy. That little doggie is so cute, I can see he's settled in very well with you all. CJ xx

  28. That's quite a scary coastline you have there - for the people, not just for Tavi (who is gorgeous - every time I see him I think maybe we should get another dog....)

  29. Those coastal footpaths in your country are wonderful for a walk and the views over the sea magnificant. Tavi looks very cuty, I think it´s a real fun dog.

  31. I bet it was a bracing walk despite the sunshine and blue skies! Just the thing for some outdoor time as a contrast to some of the more overcast weather that we've had! Assume you took the pic of the sea foam - hope your toes didn't get wet!!

  39. What a precious little cutie!

We had to keep Lulu on the leash on the beach today. The swell was building and the waves were crashing close to shore. We were afraid she might get swept out to sea.

    Lovely photos - as always!

  40. The sea must look very big even when it's calm if you're Tavi's size! Two of the whippets love the waves and leap right in like loons, two are a bit take it or leave about 'the big wet', and one doesn't really like getting his feet the least bit damp.

You are so lucky to live by the sea Sarah, we are only just half an hour inland but on most days that's half an hour too far away.

  41. Hi Sarah, your coast is so beautiful! I love to walk at the waterside and collect mussels.
Your dog is so cute - I think, he must move the whole day.
