It wasn't me!

Its always good to remember that you have a puppy in the house!

I accidently left these shoes out and we came home to find them like this! The culprit wasn't ashamed to show us how it had been done either!

It was just like this !!!

His look out wasn't very good either. They seemed more interested in looking the other way!

Which one of us looks more guilty?

It surely can't have been that puppy who has recently got a pass certificate and ribbon from the puppy foundation good citizen scheme can it?

  1. We had that issue with Lulu the first year. But, she only at our son's stuff. Come to think of it, she got into the wedding stuff (props for the photo booth) and dragged a hat outside. It was something our son had tried on. I guess she just likes his scent.

  3. Oh My Goodness! Pop is (was?) a shoe chewer too. I daren't leave anything within her reach and she's nearly two! Tavi looks so like Teddy in that last picture. xx

  4. Ooops! But she's so cute you'll forgive her. Our seven year old labrador still likes to steal shoes (and tea towels) although she never chews them now. She just carries them off.

  8. Oh no, oh no, oh no! And they were such pretty shoes. I remember those days very well. It was the legs of my wicker couch and tables that Gabriel liked best. And my cat, Poetry, aided and abetted by knocking things off tables to the floor for him to chew on. I think Tavi is mopping because you weren't jumping up and down HAPPY when he showed you what he'd done. :-)

  9. Tavi doesn't look at all remorseful, but Twinkle looks "stroppy". Actually, he/she looks just like a cat we used to have. Ours was called Charlie, and he was a cat with lots of attitude - a real personality.

  10. Not guilty at all !
I never had a shoe chewer but our lovely dog Rosie we had when we lived in Spain stole a Christmas decoration and a kitchen knife ! Thank goodness she didn't chew either !

  12. Oh my goodness, and those were such lovely shoes. I'm envious of you being able to wear heels as I can no longer wear 'em, with arthritic feet. But in my yoof I loved high heels! And these were such pretty shoes, too ... naughty doggy!

  14. My first reaction when I saw the photo was oh no!!! I hope it wasn't a favourite or most expensive pair of shoes....poor Tavi! He probably thought you had left them out for him to play with!

  15. A cute rascal. I too thought I hope they were not your favourite shoes!

  16. But shoes are so tasty, I have a whippet here who will testify to that.

  17. He is a good puppy! He did an excellent job of destroying your shoes. All that effort has to count for something. ;o) I hope they weren't your favorites.

  19. Ha ha. Oh dear. I lost a couple of shoes when we first got our rescue dog. We now make sure we clear the decks. Your puppy is very gorgeous. And the cat. What a sweet pair.

  23. Well, perhaps it is no comfort, but at least Tavi did not chew the corner of a wall in your house as our puppy once did! xx :)
