Heading towards the end of 2015

After all the patient waiting Christmas has come and gone for another year!

I hope everyone had a lovely time just like us. It was good to have the children home and we were all spoilt with some wonderful presents too, many with a sea theme! It has been a wet and windy Christmas here. The annual Boxing Day charity swim across the harbour in West Bay had to be cancelled because it was just too rough.

Waves heading towards Charmouth beach.

Over the Christmas period this blog celebrated it's fourth birthday. What was I thinking about starting a blog just before Christmas? I must have been well organised that year! I have made so many friends over the years from all around the world. I do appreciate your friendship and support, many of you over several years.

As we draw to the end of 2015 here are some reminders of images of the sea captured in the last year. The sea is such a large part of our lives now that we can see, smell and hear it every day!

We have also visited some wonderful gardens during the year and also filled our new garden with some of our favourite plants.....

Thank you to everyone who has visited me in 2015, I wish you all a happy and healthy 2016. We may not know what is around the next corner, but I will be concentrating on achieving my distant dreams!

  25. Morning Sarah
I've just been reading your past blogs and hubby and I also love Show Of Hands, we actually managed to book them a few years back for a local hop in our tiny village hall... They were great & Phil Beer had 2 helpings of the casserole I made them!!
Have a great New Year and don't stop posting those fabulous beach and seascapes... they transport me to your lovely part of Dorset.

    1. Welcome to a fellow Show of Hands fan! It must have been fun having them visit your village hall. We saw all 3 of them at separate halls around Dorset they are always very entertaining. We are going down the Rhine on a cruise with them in May too! Sarah x

  28. I hope blog will keep going for another four years - and more! I love those photo montages you have put together. They are a good way of conveying an "atmosphere" very concisely. Those of us who don't live by the sea imagine it to be always like our best memories of ripples lapping on a golden sandy beach in High Summer, but actually the sea is more often dark, rough and threatening, isn't it?

    1. The sea is certainly looking dark, rough and threatening at the moment! Like the seasons it varies so much. Sarah x

  31. Hello dear Sarah, nothing beats Christmas with the family does it? I've just finished taking down the tree and packing away the decorations until next year. Hubby chopped up the tree and it's already on it's way to the tip with loads of other rubbish! From a very windy and wet Southsea, wishing you and yours a healthy, happy and joyful 2016! Sharon x PD: Oh, and I love the new blog pic at the top it's really lovely!
