I really want to visit it now, fancy having those wonderful glasshouses to work in. Gosh, my dream! I wonder if it feels strange going back to visit when you must have so many memories of the place? I also love the garden of your sister's flats, it looks extremely well cared for! I love London and spend a lot of time walking and exploring, more in the City than the West End. I love the buzz and it's diversity. But, it's oh so nice to return home again in the evening to our home near the sea - well River Thames really. There's something about the coast that is so refreshing and calming. I like the English version more. It seems it has more photos of gardens then the US version.
Regarding my garde, yes, it has grown and I was just looking through my garden journal and blog photos and it was not too long ago since I planted my summer garden. Last weeks hot weather (without the humidity) did a lot for the garden. This week much cooler weather, a 20 degree difference. I hope stays that way tomorrow because I have a lot a weeding to do.
Have a wonderful day and glad your back home safe and sound.
Blessings,
Bobbie LynnBobbie Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13734281504628586990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522710068688445614.post-85935386723978885692014-05-06T18:14:17.474+01:002014-05-06T18:14:17.474+01:00It must be good to have lived in the same area for...It must be good to have lived in the same area for all of your life. How wonderful it must have been to have grown up in that beautiful walled 'enchanted' garden and what an amazing coincidence the garden is featured in Country Living just now. I used to buy that magazine from time to time but not anymore for the last two years since the only shop that sold it doesn't sell it anymore, not enough buyers I guess which made and makes more than disappointed since I loved that magazine!
Marianflowersandhomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02262453899981838266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3522710068688445614.post-65778592631083464282014-05-06T00:16:47.287+01:002014-05-06T00:16:47.287+01:00What are the chances of you visiting and then seei...What are the chances of you visiting and then seeing the garden in the magazine! I moved 15 times during my childhood, so I can't say I feel connected anywhere but where I'm at now. It is so very special that you CAN go home again to your childhood home and see it much the same as it was, except for the changes in the garden. Is the village pretty much the same as well? My roots are firmly in one place (the rocks where I grew up) but my family are from all over the Peak District and I spent time in so many parts of it as a child that although most of the roots are in one place, I think I have off shoots in others and I feel very privileged to have had a childhood in such wonderful countryside :)Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043065727770116407noreply@blogger.com
