A walk in the park in the snow
Monkey puzzle tree |
I have been enviously looking at so many blogs showing beautiful images of snow. The snow we had in Weymouth was very wet and turned immediately slushy and disappeared -not at all photogenic! In Dorchester where I work 7 miles away (11km) it was a different scene.
So my lunchtime was spent in the park enjoying the beauty of the snow.....

Beautiful pictures Sarah, the first pictureis a very nice wan I like it so much. Over here a lot of snow and very cold outsite. We had - 5 but the feeling temperature was I think -12 and that came from the north east wind. Now it is much better no more wind. Greetings Petra.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs as ever Sarah! Doesn't that red of the bandstand sing out? I'm still waiting for the snow - though the hilltops are covered..
ReplyDeleteDear Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThe snow photographs looks so very beautiful and have been seeing the snow you are having at Heathrow on the TV.
I wonder if Daisy minds going out for walks in the snow?
Stay warm and have a lovely week
hugs
Carolyn
I love all of your pictures and doesn't the bandstand look glorious with its red showing up against the snow?
ReplyDeleteI was desperate to get some snow pictures, but now I am ready for it go on its travels again. I did notice that the snow was dripping from the roof today so may be my wish will be granted.
My OH was in Swanage today and they had hardly any snow. Here in the New Forest, we are freezing tonight and the compacted snow is going to be very slippery in the morning!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful. Especially the icy monkey puzzle and those feathery clematis seed heads.
Gorgeous photography! Especially love your last picture.

Beautiful photos...love the gazebo in the park! The last photo is very artfully done, makes me feel the cold, mysterious and I love it! Janice XXX
ReplyDeleteMonkey puzzle trees are amazing. The park looks very pretty and a well cleared path as well xo
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so pretty in your photos, we've had inches of it here!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos especially the last one with all the puff balls! :) x
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah:
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious place to spend a lunchtime. It looks so very pretty and peaceful, quite the most perfect place to escape the pressures of work.
The bandstand stands out delightfully against its white background. One can almost hear the band playing!
~ It is Winter, at it most lovely, Sarah.....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, pictures, brrrr, keep cosy, quite deep here also and we don't normally get the snow as we are so coastal...
Love Maria x
What a great way to spend your lunchtime! Juliex
ReplyDeleteThat was nice to be able to go for a walk in the snowy park, love the first photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the monkey puzzle tree photo x
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah,
ReplyDeleteSuper photos. The snow looks so nice when fresh ... I agree with Rosemary, the red painted grandstand looks so attractive against the white snow.
All the lovely winter photos of the snow so lovely.
wishing you a happy week Sarah

I bet little Daisy went wild in the white stuff! HI SARAH! Enjoy what you can of the snow if it comes your way; we typically get socked with a lot of it, but the last two years has been very dry. We only have below zero Farenheit temps to deal with! Anita
ReplyDeleteVery pretty snow pictures! I love monkey puzzle trees. There are a lot of them in Vancouver, but it is too harsh a climate for them where I live.
ReplyDeleteLiebe kleine Meerjungfrau,

Such beautiful pictures. Looks like a very nice and relaxing time.
ReplyDeleteWe had a light layer of snow here this morning but it's been raining since then and it's almost all gone now. It is very cold though.
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah, Beautiful photos. You captured the beauty of snow and what it leaves behind. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI love the little hints of bright colour in the almost black and white pictures. We had about 8-10" here in Yorkshire and I had to work at home 2 days.
ReplyDeleteLove that frothy, frozen clematis - magical. Glad you got your bit of snow. Ours is still very slippery underfoot but disappearing fast. Poor Flora has spent days up at the back door 'cos the pond is frozen. She has fresh water to wash in, but she's getting very fed up!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Love the one with the bandstand in the park.
