Down by the sea - February views

Another month of lockdown restrictions and another month of walking along the neighbouring beaches enjoying the scenery and the sunrise and sunsets. The strong storms brought a huge amount of plastic debris onto the beaches, but there were many willing volunteers to help to remove it.

February also marked a big change in our lives when our daughter moved into a new home she had bought with her boyfriend. This last year has been so difficult for them with many months going by when they have been unable to meet. They put in an offer back in August,  but it has taken so long for the sale to go through with another two lockdowns occuring during that time. It is a over six years since she returned from Uni so it is taking time to get used to the changes. It will be good to meet up with her and visit her new home when restrictions are eased.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you are staying safe and well,
Sarah x

  2. Lovely photos Sarah! Have you been to Charmouth lately? I wondered what the situation was with plastic pellets on the beach?

    1. Hi Philip, No we haven't been to Charmouth because of lockdown. We do meet the Charmouth team over zoom on a work front so will have to ask. I haven't noticed so many appearing on West Bay beaches.

    2. Those plastic pellets washed up here too, about when hard lockdown closed our beaches.

  4. Fabulous photos as always. Pleased to read your daughter and boyfriend have managed to buy a house. A big achievement in itself, let alone during a COVID year! Yes it is quite sad when adult children leave home. Our younger daughter has always lived nearby and now she has been offered a job in another state...something to get used to..😔

  6. Buying a house and moving are very stressful normally so it must have been much worse in this difficult time

  7. What a stunning sunset photograph, Sarah. All your pictures are lovely. It's difficult when children leave home, but lots to look forward to when this nightmare of a pandemic is over. Stay safe. P. x
