Through the Garden Gate January 2024

Welcome to a New Year in the garden and with a mixture of rain and cold they has only been a few occasions when I managed to get outside this month and start to remove some of the debris from the borders to reveal a few spring bulbs peeking above the surface.

We didn't have any snow that settled and this is the frostiest morning we have had!

There are only four plants that are in flower in the garden this month! Over the weekend the temperature has increased and also the sound of birdsong so are a few signs of better times ahead! Jack is also enjoying being outside more too!

What are the highlights in your garden this month?

It is always wonderful to see other gardens and watch their development during the year. If you want to join in with Through the garden gate each month please let me know in the comments below and I will add your site.

  5. Our cat Holly is staying indoors a lot at the moment. I think the bad weather has been too much for her.

  6. Lovely to see your frosty winter garden. Is that your new daphne? I bet you are loving the scent on milder days. What would we do without hellebores this time of year. B x
