West Bay in January

It has been a wet and windy start to the year here. All the footpaths are sodden and extremely muddy and  we seek out drier routes for dog walks luckily down in West Bay we have 3 beaches, an esplanade, the harbour and pier to wander around. It is good to get out after the storms the waves can continue to be strong after the storm has past giving spectacular views along the bay.

  2. The sun alone is spectacular but the scenery is too. Glad you can get out in spite of the wind.

  4. I've lived in a few places that have been next to and near the ocean, I just love the sound of the waves and the smell of the salty air, I still kind of live near the beach, it's about a 10 minute drive so not too bad.

    1. The number of cliff falls each year have increased since we moved here. This one was a massive one, thank goodness no one was around when it came down.

  8. How beautiful. Have only been in Dorset once, while traveling to Wales and Cornwall, but we were stunned by the beauty.
