Oh I do like to be beside the seaside - in Cornwall!
The shoreline is very different to back home and the last few times we have been down in the area the tide has been in - hiding this magnificent view.
As you pass the gorse bushes you catch the smell of the coconut scented flowers.
From the top of the cliffs the people walking along the beach just appear so tiny.
Tavi's favourite toy at the moment is this red ball and string he just loved running along the beach after it!
I am publishing two posts in one today so if you have not had enough of the sea come over and visit the shoreline of Dorset here too !

All that wonderful space and air and sky. I wouldn't mind a day there myself. Your photos are glorious, they've given me a real lift. Amazing that pictures can do that isn't it. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs of a completely different shoreline - you obviously cannot get enough of being beside the seaside. Tavi looks like he's enjoying himself too on what looks like a cold and blustery day even though the sun is shining
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me enjoy some of your views of the sea, Sarah. Please give Tavi some love pats from me :) xx
ReplyDeleteI can just picture Tavi sprinting down that beach. So cute!
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, these are SO beautiful! I long to visit such a place of beauty! I am off to Totnes in Devon during the May half-term so I hope Devon has something equally beautiful!x
ReplyDeleteI always feel like I've been away on holiday when I read your posts and view your wonderful photos. What spectacular scenery you have on your doorstep. Tavi's rowing up very fast - gorgeous wee thing!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures put a smile on my face, especially the ones with Tavi in them. Such a gorgeous place to explore!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures from Cornwall and Dorset! Pictures from the sea I can see all day!

ReplyDeleteSweet Tavi has it all....his red ball and THE BEACH, and you. Sarah, live and LOVE ON. Your home and surroundings are magic. Anita
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Sarah, even though it's still coolish, the see just draws me in....love our coastline...have a super week! Sharon x
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful
ReplyDeleteJust as beautiful as Dorset. I would really like to see and smell gorse someday. I've read a lot about it but never had a chance to experience it in real life!
ReplyDeleteAh, memories! The last time I went to Whitsand Bay was on a field trip for A level Geography some forty eight years ago. Very interesting rock strata, that I do remember. Lucky Tavi having such a wide beach to run and play on. He really is a sweet looking little dog. Is his name short for Tavistock, or is it just a Scottish sounding name?
ReplyDeleteTavi is short for Tavistock. We love this area of Devon, it does seem to sort him too! Sarah x
ReplyDeleteSarah, what a beautiful coastline! Tavi sure looks to be enjoying it.

Hello Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThe sea is such a draw whatever the weather. Indeed, when the sea is rough and wild, that is possibly how we like it best. And, Cornwall has such a marvellous coastline sprinkled with glorious hidden coves and the most amazing sea stretching for ever. Yes, as we write this in landlocked Hungary, we certainly wish we were there!
we must be like bunnies on each others tails hehe...we were on whitsands bay and walked above too!...such a beautiful view love coming to see it even on grey days!...but on a sunny day it is just like your pics breathtakingly beautiful!!!!...one night we drove above around midnight looking at the beautiful moon and stars and bats raced around our heads! ;) x
ReplyDeleteWe do seem to love the same locations. I can just imagine how long it must have been in the moonlight ! Sarah x
DeleteI love that pic of Tavi running after his ball with his footprints behind him :o) The coastline looks so beautiful xx
ReplyDeleteWe always head to Whitsand Bay when we can Sarah. Isn't it amazing? I can't wait to get back there with OB this year if it's hot enough. xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos - I felt I was there too! Cornwall is such a lovely place, we're hoping to get there again this summer. I have a gorse-scented candle that reminds me of Cornwall. thank you for sharing your trip :)

ReplyDeleteAnd Tavi is so sweeeeet.
If you do get to see it in realtime one day and have time to meet up let me know. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteLovely photo's, what a stunning bay.
ReplyDeleteGlad Tavi had such fun too.
All the best Jan
What a beautiful seaside. I love the little dog, he is so cute. :D
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! That looks more like the coast of Oregon, where I grew up. Love the photo of your dog running in the distance, with the pawprints in the foreground.
