The Simple things in life
To walk along the shoreline enjoying the view
Watching families feeding the goldfish and carp.
Sitting on a deserted beach gazing out to sea.
Seeing the sunrise.
Admiring homes with such glorious views.
Having a coffee at a beachside cafe while viewing the waves crashing below.
Watching the insects busy in the garden
Picking and eating simple fresh local food. I found this recipe for Runner bean and potato curry it was a great way to use by a glut of runner beans and all the vegetables came from the garden.
Listening to the rain, after all it wouldn't be a bank holiday weekend without some !
When the rain stopped activities outside revamping the look of my blog and visiting many of my blog friends.
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend too and are all refreshed for the week ahead. Thank you for all your wonderful comments and a big hello and welcome to new followers Yoshiko, Patricia, Flowers and home, Barbee, Clare,Gerda and Pomona, thank you so much for joining me.
How I'd love to live by the sea! Such beautiful photos. I'm too attached to the Peak District though to leave my landlocked home area!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like my kind of weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely to have a 'free' weekend and it looks like you made the most of it! Juliex

Some beautiful, beautiful photos Sarah, and isn't it lovely to be without any particular tasks or plans from time to time.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely weekend Sarah. It's good to have a free weekend now and then to do what you look. Ours are often booked full. I believe our first free weekend is somewhere in October....I think I will block it in my diary right now :-)!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely new week!

You're quite right, sometimes the best plan is not to make any plans at all and just take things slow and enjoy the moment. I loved looking through your photos, you live in such a pretty place.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a tour around england bloggers and I am amazed of all the beautiful places I'm seeing pictures of! The only thing I probably wouldn't like is the colder weather (I love it when it's HOT) but for all the rest...WOW! Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the mention - it's great to make all these virtual connections! And I do like your pictures - a real treat for the eyes!

ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and visiting. I'm happy that you liked my little black evening bag make-over. Love, love, love your beautiful photos, Connie :)
I just love these photographs , your world is so beautiful! So much greenery and open space. I live in a big noisy city so I miss such an atmosphere. These photographs have a calming effect on the mind. I also love your perspective and approach to a simple life and this reflects in your photographs!
ReplyDeletehave a nice day !
It seems like you had a wonderful Bank Holiday despite the weather - photos beautiful as ever and curry sounds good too. I like your new look and it appears that a few more of the blogs I follow have also changed while I was away for the holiday - thought I had ventured onto the wrong blogs at first - great minds think alike etc or perhaps the rain drove everyone else inside to update their blogs!! I might even have a go at an upgrade myself (now I have got the hang of the basics!). Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteIf ever you see some woman mixing hot coffee with vanilla ice-cream in Sandsfoot Park - that's probably me!
ReplyDeleteThat mixture sounds good, will keep an eye out next time I'm up there everyone will wonder why I am watching them all closely when they are by the cafe!
