I haven't posted anything since the New Year as I am now back at work after the Christmas break. After the dreadful weather we had earlier this week with high winds and rain , I awoke this morning to blue skies. It was a good excuse to go down to the beach and enjoy the sunshine.
The Esplanade has been updated in the last year in preparation for the Olympics. It takes a while to get used the changes and to decide whether they are for the best.

The beach shelters have all been repainted and now look very smart.

| and replaced with new kiosks in the shape of upturned boats. These are very popular and a good place to sit with a coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the view. |
